There is no other title that is bigger and more highly anticipated than GTA 6. However, fans have concerns of the juggernaut title being a GTA v 2.0.

One growing insider, Reece “Kiei Talkz” Reilly, was asked what his thoughts were “about these people who think this is gonna be GTA V 2.0?” Reece has been resourceful with his contacts within the tight-lipped company. Rockstar is not a company that usually lets info leak out to others. They are one of the most secretive companies in the industry, and for good reason.

However, Reece continues about those that think they will only be playing GTA V 2.0 “have no idea what they are talking about,” putting some fans at ease. “Some of the stuff I have heard is super ambitious and it is unlikely any other developer will be able to match what they are doing for 15-20+ years. “

That is certainly a bold statement. Rumors have been swirling about some rather ambitious mechanics. An NPC system that has never been done before as human NPC’s will feature a memory system that allows them to remember players' previous actions, decisions and even influence their actions. Rockstar’s attention to detail, small and large, is of any indication from their previous title. Such as Red Dead Redemption 2 feeling like a living, breathing world, having some NPC’s smell an otherwise unsatisfying Arthur Morgan, we can only imagine what Rockstar is cooking up with GTA 6.

Fans received disappointing news. Rockstar has once again made the decision to delay GTA 6 for nearly a year with a new release date currently set to launch on November 19th 2026. Even with a new date for the industry's largest title, Rockstar could once again delay the game for the 4th time. Originally announced as a fall 2025 title, which would then see a push to May 26th 2025 for more polish. Then, on November 6th, Rockstar announced the latest delay of November 19th 2026th.

Rockstar will certainly look to push GTA 6 to new heights. Just what are they going to surprise fans with next? Players are still finding new reveals in GTA V today. Will GTA 6 keep fans going for another 15, 20+ years?
