ARC Raiders Team Is Working On Two More Games

ARC Raiders is about to release to the world. With the highly anticipated extraction shooter taking the world by storm, Escape from Tarkov may have some competition for the first time. With Embark Studio’s displaying perseverance and taking their time to “Find the Fun” with ARC Raiders, changing the original concept of being a PvE only to a PvPvE appears to be hitting fans right where they want between the robotic eyes and the players.

After releasing their first title The Finals, an arena shooter that is still being supported with the release of season 8. The team isn’t done with just the two titles. Patrick Soderlund sat down with The Game Business for an interview and discussed the studio, ARC Raiders and the future. When asked about other games in development, Soderlund mentioned they are currently in the early concept stages of their next two titles.

“One of the concepts we have, I would say, has a lot more edge to it than The Finals or ARC Raiders does. The other one maybe is a little bit more conventional. “

Embark Studios will launch ARC Raiders, a surprise extraction shooter that's geared up for early success and will have fans at the edge of their seats grinding through the Rustbelt. However, with any extraction shooter, it’s the planned content of the future that will keep players coming back day-in and day-out. It’s the live service model that we’ve seen many studios struggle with. Can Embark embrace the model to keep players going? As mentioned earlier, The Finals is still going strong with its current 8th season. So, that should be hopeful for fans about to jump into ARC Raiders. A live service game lives and breathes on the continued content for its future to survive.

But the other question is, what else are they working on that's edgy and more conventional?
