Halo: Campaign Evolved Get Entirely New Story Missions

Halo Studios have begun revealing plans for the future of Halo. After the latest entry of Halo Infinite and its quick rise and fall. Fans have been a bit concerned about the future of Halo. Halo Studios, formerly, 343 Industries, changed the studio's name to signify that the team is focused on the future of Halo more now, than ever.

The team revealed Halo Campaign Evolved during the Halo championship, a remake of the original 2001 title remade from the ground up for modern consoles with a more modern touch of controls and more. Though the new remake is exciting, one of the more interesting and noteworthy bits from the reveal is that the Halo Studio team will be adding three new prequel missions, expanding the game's original storyline.

Max Szlagor, Creative Director, was asked about the involvement in how these new prequel missions will intersect with Master Chief’s story.

"It's about Chief and Johnson. It's a prequel to the original Halo Combat Evolved story. It was really key for us to maintain the original story as it is, to not insert sort of new story in there," Szlagor says.

"It actually takes place in a fairly short timeline in the way that the lore works. And so finding a good place in the lore to tell this story with Chief and Johnson, it's going to have, you know, new story, new gameplay, weapons, enemies, environments. So a lot of cool stuff there."

Game director Greg Hermann added it’s a "settings you may be familiar with, if you know the franchise."

Fan theories are beginning to swirl about where Halo Studios will take fans for these three new missions. What’s your theory? Where will we see Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson head first? Drop your comments below.
