God of War Egypt Setting: Christopher Judge Hints Next Game After Ragnarok
God of War Actor Wants To Head to Egypt Next
Christopher Judge, the iconic voice behind our god of ash, Kratos, may have let slipped the location of the next entry in the series. With many rumors of the next God of War title from Sony Santa Monica and the recently canceled Bluepoint multiplayer spin-off, Judge, would like to see the series head to Egypt.
At the MCM London Comic Con, noted by “GamesRadar+, Judge mentioned a slight slip of the tongue about a potential third title in the Sony reboot of the God of War series. God of War Ranarok released in 2022 with a very successful Metacritic score that currently sits at 94. Fans can only sit and wait to hear what’s headed their way for Kratos and Atreus next. But thanks to Judge, we may have a better idea.
Christopher Judge stated the following:
"Because I became best known as Teal'c from Stargate, to go to Egypt would be a completion of my circle," Judge said. "But whatever is decided - wait… if there is another game, I have no doubt that no matter what pantheon it is, it will be great."
This gives fans a slight hope that something is indeed being developed for our axe-throwing, creature-smashing God of War. With the success of the series, it’s only to be expected that Sony Santa Monica is working on another game in the series.
However, nothing has been officially revealed from PlayStation or the studio at Santa Monica. This was Judge speaking at a panel that may or may not lead to anything. But, with a continued supply of rumors, it certainly feels like the next journey’s reveal is hopefully around the corner. Earlier this week there were leaked images of Bluepoint Games' canceled God of War game that seemingly took place in Egypt. Would this be what Judge was talking about? Or something completely new?
