New Canceled God Of War Screenshots

Sony had been on the chase of live-service games, looking for a steady flow of titles that would generate a continuous income. At one point it was said PlayStation had 13 titles in development focused on the live-service genre. More on that HERE. Since then, we’ve heard about many of these titles becoming canceled, including Bluepoint Games' very own God of War multiplayer game.

New details have leaked about the once planned multiplayer title, along with an early look at pre-alpha screenshots thanks to MP1ST.com who were sent details.

The planned multiplayer game was indeed supposed to make a returned journey back to its Greek setting, which can be discovered from the screenshots with its pottery, Greek temples and more. Among the Greek locations, areas of size indicate space of movement…large areas for multiple players.

nspiration from the series that could have made its way into the multiplayer experience. From God of War’s reboot of 2018 to Ragnarök, and possibly the Valhalla expansion with statues of soldiers to Norse warriors.

All of this information (though speculative) is very exciting as “what could have been”? However, despite PlayStation's failed attempts at live-service games, (Concord), closed London Studios, among others. The exciting news is that Sony hasn’t closed Bluepoint Games. Instead, a job posting has led to a new speculation about what they may be working on next: a God Of War Remake of the original title from 2005.

There are also rumors floating around about a side-scrolling Metroidvania God of War title in development. We’ll be sure to update you once we hear more. Until then, let us know what you think of this canceled God of War multiplayer game in the comments below.
