Assassin's Creed Shadows Joins Switch 2

Assassin's Creed Shadows originally released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox on March 20th 2025, though the game received mixed reviews and currently sits at a 7 on Steam. Ubisoft has given Nintendo Switch 2 owners an opportunity to join Naoe and Yaskue on their adventure on December 2nd, nearly nine months from its original launch.

At launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Assassin's Creed Shadows will include all content updates introduced since the game's release, with only the 'Claws of Awaji' expansion arriving early next year.

"We are delighted to bring Assassin's Creed Shadows to Nintendo players," said Charles Benoit, Game Director of Assassin's Creed Shadows. "Whether slipping through the shadows as Naoe or facing foes head-on as Yasuke, players will be able to roam the streets and rooftops of feudal Japan at home or anywhere their journey takes them on Nintendo Switch 2."

The franchise makes a return that features two protagonists, a quick and nimble shinobi named Naoe and her counterpart of brute force, a samurai, named Yaskue. The two protagonists will join forces to fight the chaos in the much-fan-requested setting of beautiful Feudal Japan. Assassin's Creed Shadow will launch on December 2nd on the Nintendo Switch 2 for $79.99 on a physical game-key card or on the digital store.
