Stretchmancer Revealed at Day of the Devs 2025: Mind-Bending Stretch Puzzle Adventure from Triangle Wave

Adam Butcher and Triangle Wave announced their newest project, Stretchmancer, as part of Day of the Devs: The Game Awards 2025! Developed by Triangle Wave and published by Offbrand Games, Stretchmancer promises a mind-bending first-person puzzle adventure through a world that can be -well - stretched!

Squishing and stretching the world in first person allows for truly ingenious puzzle challenges and even more inventive solutions. Other games with a similar premise include Maquette and Superliminal, which both offer countless examples of the creative potential of forced perspective and optical illusion. The gameplay on display showcases the complexity of using the right hand for pushing, the left hand for pulling, and combining these stretches to platform and solve puzzles. Stretchmancer dares to raise the bar with innovative gameplay and a charming personality.

Stretchmancer is developed by Triangle Wave, a trio of game developers who clearly pour a lot of personality into their craft. That charm can be heard in the soundtrack and seen in the softened aesthetic. A playable prototype of the game can be found online, as well as a few developer logs from the past few years. Their bio includes the statement, “Starting with inventive gameplay and adding a healthy dose of humour.” That humour can be seen oozing from the seams of Stretchmancer’s reveal trailer.

The release date has not been revealed yet, but it will undoubtedly be unique when it launches on Steam and consoles (TBA). Let us know in our Discord if you’ll be stretching your limbs when the game releases.
