Hytale Early Access Launches Tomorrow Jan 13 Over 1 Million Players Expected
Hytale’s highly anticipated early access is set to go live tomorrow, January 13th, and the expectations for the game are sky-high, according to the Hypixel Studios founder. For those who lost track of the game, it was acquired by Riot Games and shut down later in development.
Before being required by Hypixel Studios, 16 minutes of gameplay were shown by the studio just last month, as well as a price point of $19.99 for the standard edition.
Prepare for Delays?
What feels like a combination of foreshadowing and warning towards players on X, the founder of Hypixel Studios said that Hytale expects over 1 million players on the early access date, and has asked players to download the launcher as soon as possible and log in early to help reduce launch-date stress.

The developers have already confirmed the early access portion of the game will not be available on Steam to avoid negative reviews. For those interested in the game, you can find the launcher here. Unlike on Steam, you will need to install both the launcher and the game in order to play, so make sure you do both if you want to avoid delays tomorrow!
Hytale is a blend of sandbox and RPG action, allowing players to “explore a procedurally generated world full of dungeons, secrets, and a variety of creatures, then shape it block by block.” As with any popular early access, expect delays and bugs on the first day of launch.
