SUPERVIVE, the battle royale MOBA from Theorycraft Games, will be ending service in February. In a YouTube video published on the game channel, executive producer Jess Nam shared all the details. The final patch, version 2.04, will go live later this week. This patch will introduce a new mode and the last bundle of skins for the game, which all players will receive for free.

In the video, Nam cited a lack of strong player count as a major factor in the decision to sunset the game in early 2026. According to SteamDB, SUPERVIVE’s player count had dropped into the triple digits after a strong launch. Nam also mentioned that all players who made purchases in the store within the last three months can contact theorycrat.helpshift.com to request a refund.

Interestingly, despite the closure of Theorycraft Games’ first release, this will not be the end for the studio. At the end of the video, Jess Nam teased that Theorycraft Games will be working on more titles in the future, though it may be a while, as even Nam admitted the company will be going dark for some time.

As someone who falls into the category Nam described - a player who played for a few hours after launch and then never returned - I thought the game had a unique vibe and I enjoyed my half-dozen hours with it. However, battle royales might be the most oversaturated genre in gaming right now, and it can be hard to give players a reason to come back. I am curious to see when we’ll hear from Theorycraft Games again and what they plan to do next.
