A new financial report mentions Dead Island 3. Dambuster Studios is reportedly aiming to release the next iteration of the zombie-infested series in Q1 or Q2 of 2028 - between April and October 2028.

The financial report, posted by Timur222 on X (formerly Twitter), states that Dambuster Studios’ primary focus is now Dead Island 3, with all 194 employees shifting their priorities to the game once Dead Island 2 is completed for Luna and Mac. Parts of Dead Island 3 are now in early production, with feature, character, world, and story design progressing rapidly, according to the report.

Dead Island 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with Luna and Mac versions in development. As for Dead Island 3, it is expected to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and potentially next-generation consoles, if recent reports are accurate. The PlayStation 6 and the next Xbox are rumored to release near the end of 2027 or in 2028.
