Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Release Date: Mid-January 2026 | TGA 2025 Reveal Incoming
It appears that Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, which was originally set to release on January 21, 2021, will be released almost five years later to the date. Insider Tom Henderson revealed that sources close to the game, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, have informed him that Ubisoft is now planning to launch the title in mid-January 2026. Sources close to the project also believe the game will likely be featured during The Game Awards, which could possibly reveal the full release date.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake has certainly had its rough moments in the spotlight with its overwhelmingly disappointing reveal. Fans couldn’t believe what they saw. With some saying “The Sims 4. Prince of Persia expansion pack.” Or “The prince used the dagger to went back to ps3 era.” Fans were rather disappointed with the direction the remake was taking, which led Ubisoft to make the decision to delay the title on December 8, 2020, to March 18, 2021. However, the delays didn’t end there.
After several delays, the game fell into development hell and saw other Ubisoft studios join the team to help get the game back on track. Now, nearly five years later, could we finally get Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake? We’re hopeful to find out more on December 11 during The Game Awards.
